McMillan Fitness is an independently owned personal training business in Perth, Western Australia. I’m Stuart McMillan, the principle, and I hold a Cert IV in Fitness as well as being a qualified MenoFitness Trainer. It has always been important to me to keep at the top of my game. I’ve mixed it with a busy and professional lifestyle. I learned to run before I could walk (according to my mum) and as a youth competed at a high level in track events, specialising in 100- and 200-metre sprints. I also played Rugby League in Metropolitan Cup Sydney and trained in Lin Wan Kune Do Kung Fu, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Krav Maga. Let me use my years of competitive experience to assist you in reaching your personal goals!
How many people do you know who have had surgery to correct problems that could have been easily avoided through exercise? It’s a fact that as we age, muscle atrophy (wastage) increases, bone density decreases, heart muscle weakens, mental capacity reduces, blood pressure can increase, ligaments and tendons tighten up and limit mobility and a wide range of ailments and afflictions can reduce our lifespan.
The cost of surgical procedures, treatment and mobility aids for conditions such as Alzheimer’s, Type 2 diabetes and osteoporosis can stretch into thousands – usually after retirement and after a lifetime of bad habits and a sedentary lifestyle. Regular exercise can effectively combat these conditions, prolong your life and keep your mobility intact. All you need is to learn how to exercise effectively, regain your motivation and maintain your new habits. As your Personal Trainer I will train you and teach you how to improve your physical health – how to prevent you from joining the growing number of people suffering from conditions that are easily avoided.
